Q: Kwon Soon-il Kim Eun-kyung Park Young-soo Really shameless people

Former Supreme Court Justice Kwon Soon-il, who is currently under investigation by prosecutors in connection with the Daejang-dong case, recently started practicing law.

He opened a private office and is said to have handled a Supreme Court appeals case for a company.

After leading the Supreme Court's acquittal of Democratic Party representative Lee Jae-myung in an election law violation case in July 2020, Kwon retired and became an advisor to Daedong development company Hwacheon Daewoo, which is the subject of the "trial deal" allegations. Around that time, it was revealed that Hwacheon Daewoo owner Kim Man-bae visited Kwon's office eight times.

The two deny it, but if the allegations are true, the judiciary would have to close its doors.

But even before these serious allegations were resolved, Kwon registered as a lawyer and took over the Supreme Court case where he worked. Before this grave allegation can be resolved, they register as lawyers and try to make money by taking on Supreme Court cases where they used to work.

Shameless is the only word that comes to mind.

When Kwon registered as a lawyer late last year, he refused to accept the Bar Association's request for a voluntary withdrawal. He claimed that he was only advising Hwacheon Daewoo on the acquisition of a media company and had nothing to do with the Daedong development project.

However, he received a total of 150 million won as an advisor.

No one can be convinced that Lee Jae-myung is innocent or unrelated to the Daejang-dong case. Even an ordinary lawyer would refrain from practicing law in this situation.

That's a normal lawyer's duty. However, a person who was a Supreme Court justice even took on the case. It's hard to understand.

Kim Eun-kyung, chairwoman of the Democratic Party of Korea's Innovation Committee, who recently said that it is reasonable to have voting rights in proportion to one's remaining lifespan, said, "I was appointed by President Moon Jae-in as vice chairwoman of the Financial Supervisory Service, and it was extremely humiliating to finish my term under Yoon Suk-yeol."

If she was ashamed of working under Yoon, he should have quit immediately.

But Kim stayed on for three years in the position, which came with a salary of 300 million won a year, a government car, and a driver, before leaving in March.

In the meantime, all the other vice presidents resigned as is customary, but she stayed on.

Is it okay to be so unscrupulous?

Park Young-soo, the former special prosecutor under investigation for the Daejeon-dong "5 billion club" scandal, reportedly smashed his cell phone with a hammer earlier this year when political circles said a special prosecutor was inevitable.

He served as the head of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office and the special prosecutor who pushed the president into impeachment.

And yet, he did the same thing that criminals do: destroy evidence.

This is shameless behavior.
Their unscrupulousness makes me frustrated and angry.
