「Feat」の類語とその違い
Q:
They performed amazing feats. と They performed amazing exploits. はどう違いますか?
A:
They are very similar.
"Feats" are more like individual actions, like doing a skateboard trick, or lifting a heavy weight. They are physical actions.
"Exploits" are more involved and don't have to be so physical. Like, if you tell a crazy story of something that happened to you, or something you managed to do. For example, an amazing exploit would be "that time when we convinced the whole school that it was Mr. Spock's birthday and they canceled classes." Exploits can also be adventures -- "that time we drove all night to see the sunrise at the Grand Canyon."

Q:
feat と achievement はどう違いますか?
A:
A feat is more about performing a skill. It could be something you can easily do, but most can't.
An achievement has the connotation of being a first-time accomplishment, either for yourself or for everyone. This could be described as a feat if it was not done before or was extremely rare.
Ex: Finally running an 8 minute mile was a great achievement for me.
Breaking the world record was a major feat.
Deadlifting 1100 pounds is quite a feat of strength.
Bench pressing 200 pounds after I broke my arm was an impressive achievement.

Q:
with と feat はどう違いますか?
A:
feat is short for "featuring / feature" and they only have a small part in the whole thing (song, movie, etc..)
With would be if they were to be a part of the whole thing.
example: If you look at songs.
BTS (feat. Halsey) - Boy with love.
Halsey only sang a small part in the song (feat.)
If she were to have a bigger part of the song it would change to "BTS with Halsey" or "BTS and Halsey"
Hope this made sense.

B: "I accomplished a feat last night. I finished 10 research papers in a day."
C: "I achieved a feat last night. I finished 10 research papers in a day."
Hello! Do you think the sentences above sound natural? Thank you!
A:
B is the most natural. We don't really say "do" or "achieve" for feats. I think you CAN say "achieved", but "accomplished" sounds more natural. "Did" sounds VERY unnatural.
Q:
he did a real feat, but he broke his feet この表現は自然ですか?
A:
"real" sounded a little like "really" or "reala". feet was not bad, but it was very similar to "fate". So I guess it's the "ee" sound that could be a tiny bit better.
Q:
She would get the likely feat of contest. この表現は自然ですか?
A:
She would likely get the ___ of the contest?
