「Isle」の類語とその違い
Q:
isle と island はどう違いますか?
A:
Isle is used as a name for places - for example, 'Isle of Man' - Isle means Island, however you wouldn't say Isle in speech. Unless you're talking about a place actually called 'Isle of ...' , stick to island.
'I wanted to go on holiday to an island, so I went to the Isle of man. After that, I went to another island, the Island of Malta.'
Hope that made sense!

Q:
isle と island はどう違いますか?
A:
isle is a small island
Q:
isle と island はどう違いますか?
A:
We normally only use the word "isle" in a phrase such as "Isle of Wight" or "Isle of Mull" or "Isle of Skye". If you just want to say that the place you are referring to is surrounded by water, you would say it is an "island".
Q:
isle と island はどう違いますか?
A:
Isle is a bit more archaic, so it sounds more formal. But they don't define anything different. An isle and an island are exactly the same thing :) however if something is called "Isle" or "Island" in its title you can't change that. E.g. The isle of White is not "White Island", and Rhode Island is not "rhode isle". I hope that helps!
