I love animals which give unconditional love to human

I used to have two poodles over 10 years.
I felt happy whenever I touched their hair, smell their skin.
Having been lived with them, I understood they had lots of emotions like humans. Happiness, sadness, and eagerness, etc.
Felt so sad for a while when they died.

I always have strong will to keep animal, but not allowed to do that now under the house rule.

If I have had an opportunity to take an animal, it would have been a cat.
I have encountered many cats on the streets.
I also have said ‘hello’ with a cat saying ‘Meow’ :) この表現は自然ですか？
