I saw a youtuber do a lot of 먹방 of eating raw liver 생간 & raw beef spine 등골. But I don’t think I see many Koreans eat it. I know that Koreans can eat almost all kinds of seafood raw but I’m not sure with raw liver or beef spine.
Is it really a common food in Korea? Do Koreans really eat it?

Who eats beef spine? I've never heard about it. I heard that very few people try to have raw river of the cow, but it's not normal food at all. I'm not sure I could buy it even if I want it. Seafood that Koreans eat raw are some particular fishes that processed just before we have, oysters, sea squirts, sea cucumbers, and small octopus. That's all. And they are mostly farmed.

@Whykiki I see one youtuber eat it a lot, that’s why I’m very curious bcs I haven’t seen anyone else doing it. True, many kinds of raw seafood are very common.

By my standard, cow's spine, Beef tripe, and liver are normal foods in Korea. Of course, there are people who like it. It's just that young people don't like it, and they also have little chance to try it due to concerns such as parasites and human Mad cow diseases. In the 2009 protests, which took place when imported beef, especially U.S. beef, was also widely rumored to be more dangerous because Korea eats various parts of cattle. Certainly, Korea eats various parts of cattle more than other countries. some parts that are doesn't eat in other countries are often used as ingredients for food in Korea. The spine, the liver, is one of them.

It's been a long time since common to eat raw these parts such as cow liver, tripe, and spine. But People who grill them to eat on Mukbang or TV care about Fatal parasite infections and Mad cow disease. And Nowadays Even Parasitologist suggests as can as possible Don't eat Cow liver and Spine parts. However, these parts inevitably change texture when grilled on fire. So People who really enjoy these parts long before, usually don't grill it.
