*30 mins mark/point*
Hi, can I ask you if the following sentences sound natural? 🙂
(1) If the video reaches the 30 mins mark, please turn it off and take a 5mins break.
(2) If the video reaches the 30 mins point, please turn it off and take a 5mins break.
(The situation is that my kids are watching an animated video so intently.)

@lller both of these sound natural! although i might say
if you've been watching for 30 minutes, please turn it off and take a 5 minute break.
you can also say "half an hour" instead of "30 minutes" this is more commonly used. so:
if you've been watching for half an hour, please turn it off and take a 5 minute break.
hope this helps!

@seuleluv Oh, I see! Thank you for helping me out! I am really wondering if ‘reach the 30 mins mark/point’ sound natural. 😅 I was less confident about it.

@lller it makes sense, but it's a bit wordy. it would sound natural in written directions, or an essay, etc.
in spoken conversations, i think my reply would be more commonly used :)

@seuleluv Yeah, completely understandable! I prefer going for a common way of saying it! I appreciate your help! 🙂👍
