I understand the general meaning of this, but not the individual words that are used.
"後手(=常に後攻になる)"
(It's from a card battle game called カルドセプト.)

My dictionary has 後手 as ... A. passive, losing initiative
B. the second player in a game of go

and 後攻 as ... taking the field first, thus batting second (in baseball)

Question #1: Which reading of 後手 is correct, A or B?
Question #2: If it’s B, does it only apply to go, or can it to other games as well?
Question #3: Is there another meaning of 後攻 or is it really using a baseball term?

Thank you in advance to all who respond! :)
