Without the べつに ( 私の心は先輩と高科さんとの間では揺れ動いたりしてないです。) , my understanding of the meaning of the sentence is that she is saying “no, my heart is not torn between Senpai and Takashina-san.”

If the べつに is added, what does it change about the sentence that it didn’t have before? Does it mean exactly the same thing if it didn’t have べつに? If it the べつに is added, what does it imply that it didn’t before?
