Context:
友人：うっわー、睡眠時間短すぎだろ。睡眠は、有益なことをするための貴重な時間を無駄にしていると思ったことはないか？
Friend: wow, that's way too little sleep. Have you ever thought that sleep is wasting precious time to do something useful? とはどういう意味ですか?

Please tell me the grammar structure of it.. :(

I can't find it on the internet :(

  • 日本語

"〜はないか？" is corresponding to "Have you 〜 ?". Put it the end of the sentence to ask someone if he/she has any experience. But it sounds critical.

I'd probably say［〜〜って思ったことない？］instead. This sounds more natural in casual situations.

［Have you ever thought that〜〜？］
